For many years, we told stories through the lens of brands. However, a shift began to happen; the STORYTELLERS changed. The CONSUMERS have become the storytellers – shaping narratives, influencing culture, and driving conversations in real time. Podcasts, a medium to explore the depths of human experiences and perspectives, personal stories, unique journeys, challenges, and triumphs, have become the new order; but everyone is working in silos… no one is gathering the TRIBE!
This community was born from a simple but urgent truth: Nigeria’s podcast ecosystem needs a home. PODFEST NAIJA is our response to that gap.
This FESTIVAL OF STORIES is the first-of-its-kind creative melting pot designed to spotlight the power of storytelling through podcasts. This annual convergence, a vibrant space for podcasters, creators, storytellers, and lovers of stories, is anchored on four pillars – CELEBRATION, COLLABORATION, INNOVATION, and LEARNING. Powered by The MUVMNT STUDIO, the platform celebrates the transformative power of storytelling to mirror the vibrant complexity of human experience. This community, beyond exploring the power of stories, inspires innovation, drives collaboration, creates opportunities for learning whilst also shaping culture, with each stage exploring a unique pillar of life for a true festival experience.
The inaugural festival held on October 10, 2025, at Harbour Point, Lagos, gathered 1,200+ creators, 40 storytellers, policymakers, and global and local brands for a day of powerful conversations, cultural showcases, and creative innovation. The festival featured technical panels, themed stages, live podcast recordings, and immersive brand activations.
So far, we have reached over 35 million people and started a new MUVMNT! But, beyond numbers, we sparked something deeper, a creative awakening across Nigeria’s storytelling community, inspiring creators to launch, grow, and believe in the power of their own voice.
